Lynn issues 1,000 citations in 10-day trash ticket blitz
Looking over this article I am CONFUSED. Homeowners are usually responsible for GARBAGE COLLECTION. So who pays the TRASH TICKET TAX, those OUT-OF-TOWN LANDLORDS who then pass it on to their tenants. Usually it's their cans that have the holes.
Guess those LANDLORDS found holes of their own in the MAYOR'S extermination plan - they're called LOOP-HOLES!
I applaud the Trash Tax! I have resided in my home for over 10 years. My neighborhood is mostly residential however we do have a few three story houses that are absentee, out of town, landlords. I'm at my wits end chasing rats out of my yard because the trash is strewn all around their back yard. I as much had a hawk venture on his prey of raw meat from this trash... IN MY DRIVEWAY... when the absentee, out of town landlord was contacted by myself and my resedential neighbors his comment back was ' WHAT DO YOU EXPECT, AFTER ALL YOU LIVE IN LYNN'.... I have never contacted the likes of that man again. He breeds drug selling tenants time and time again... all for the sake of putting is children through college (per his wife's statment) He has been ticketed and ticketed and ticketed... KUDOS for adding this to his TAX BILL.... the trash receptacles remain uncovered and City Hall has come to place rat traps... Hmmm looks real good driving into your driveway to see a rat trap. So be it if he passes the Tax on to his tenants... After all they can well afford it with all the drug dealing they have done for the year. I applaud City Hall for this tax... I will continue to call for Trash issues... anyone take a look at 239 Boston St!!!!!! hmmm.... Trash Tax!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe biggest problem I have with is the disguising of what it is. I am afraid those absentee landlords who have NO STAKE in our community will just pass the cost on to the tenants who themselves may not have the money so their SECTION 8 allotment will go up to cover it and who pays for that SECTION 8. It's all just a viscous circle.
