LEAVING THE LIGHT ON

Dreams on fire give off plenty of smoke
to extinguish the blaze, we must soak.

Lately it seems, there have been a rash.
Makes you wonder, who's strapped for cash?

Accidents happen, no one can deny
but in vacant homes, oh my.

We find our way through the dark with the help of a torch,
this time the light may be from a fire on the front porch.
